please tell me and what is advantage and disadvantage of java...
What did searching tell you? If you are thinking of learning a language, you should do some preliminary research on your own, rather than asking others. Java can do things any other programming language can do.
i am new in java field.i want to learn java .please help me guys.i don;t no any thing about in java.............

Java is a six legged creature with fangs and a funny trumpet nose; its advantage is that it can vacuum your house with that nose, but the disadvantage is that its allergic to dust, so after the vacuuming you have to put it outside with a hanky (otherwise you have to vacuum your entire house again). Runs on any machine, any kind of computers, phones .. everything :)
disadvantage:
Java is working far away from the memory relative to other languages such as assembler C etc ..
Which means, the programs that you make will be slower then the ones that created by languages that is closer to the memory.
You will not notice it by creating a simple GUI tool, but in large games you will.
