Blending light
So as you all know, Minecraft has ambient occlusion with its lightning. Id like to implement such a kind of light system into my 2D tile game. Its hard for me to ask specifically what I want because i have no idea how the ambient occlusion works. So in simplest terms: How do you go ahead and blend squares of light?

It wasn't meant to be. Since I have never played Minecraft and never intend to play it I have no idea what lighting effects it uses. Thus your statement "So as you all know" is incorrect.

I think Junky's comment was *very* useful. I also don't know what a Minecraft is nor have I experienced its lightning.
Perhaps wikipedia says something useful about "ambient occlusion".

Same here; I know nothing about "ambient occlusion", except that it sounds like something I'd see an orthodontist for an expensive correction.
