information retrieval from twitter or facebook

Hi everyone,

I need your help cos lack of information. I want to use an free database to build a social network model from facebook or/and Twitter. I investigated that Snap(standford university) supply some databases but some of them is deleted. I want to gather user's comments which is in facebook and twitter then compare( test for model which is built by using databases) thme with my model. I want to categorize twitter or facebook user's interest. how can I reach twitter or facebook datasets and get their information with information retrieval. is it possible ?

First thing you need to do is contact Facebook and Twitter to see if they will allow you to do this or if you would be breaching copyright.

I know this is private data but Stanford Large Network Dataset Collection supply some datasets to use. Is it possible to get information from twitter and facebook like other web sites. web crawler/spiders is possible to develop for this work? Is there anyone to develop web spider to get data from facebook/twitter ?
