    Default Questions: Split image && JPanel

    hi
    my first problem:



    my Panel shows my 40 buttons in a row, but i would like them to be in a 8*5 square..

    anysuggestions how that could work?
    maybe it would be nice to all get them into the same Panel if that is possible...
    i didnt get the point of these panels yet...


    my second problem/question:

    is the a way in java to split an image into tiles?
