    what is the use of getsource() function ?
    and what is this mean? >> if(item1 == event.getSource())
    thx.

    For events the getSource() method returns the component that is the origin of the Event (i.e. a JButton or a JSpinner or a JList etc).

    To look up methods, use the Index link at the top in the blue stripe. Select the first letter of the method and then Search for the method name
