I got plenty of results when I googled "video in java". Is your google broken?

Search the net for JMF. Or wait for the final release of JavaFX 2.0 (the beta can show movies, but in only one format/codec).

Wow, just wow! Did it never occur to you that reading/watching those tutorials would tell you what you need to know?

Java SE Desktop Technologies - Java Media Framework API (JMF)
The Java Media Framework API (JMF) enables audio, video and other time-based
media to be added to applications and applets built on Java technology.
This is the very first result!

What do you want me to do?
Should I do all the research for you, learn how to embed a video into an app and then hold your hand and teach you how to do it.

Alright I want you to do 1 thing for me first TAKE A DEEP BREATH and then realize that I was just asking a question on a java forum to see if someone knew how to do this because I don't know how to do this. I have researched this and I have not found anything on this so you really don't need to get pissed off I am not trying to insult you in anyway by asking this question.

Yes you asked the question and you were given a reasonable answer: research it. There is plenty of info on the net if you are willing to put in the effort. From all your subsequent replies it would seem that you are not prepared to put in the effort and are just waiting for someone to spoonfeed you a ready made solution. The same goes for your other recent post. All the answers to your questions could be found in the Java API. Even when I directed you to go and find the answers for yourself you came back with a "huh?"

I didn't at first know what you were talking about originally with the java api I normally just go through google and youtube, but when I ask a question on a forum it is not a good answer to put "research it". If you don't know the answer don't say anything! I do put forth a lot of effort I just sometimes ask questions on the forum because there are a lot of intelligent people that can explain it better than most google results.

Well then this is a valuable lesson. When in doubt read the API and/or use Google. That should be the very first thing you do. You say to yourself "I'm going to be using a File object, I wonder what methods it has and if any of them can do what I want". Only when you have done that and attempted to write some code, do you can here and ask a specific question in regards to something you don't understand. Just posting every little question that pops into your head just makes you appear lazy and unwilling to do any work yourself. If you have tried researching a particular topic then include that in you post. That allows people to know what you have already tried and not to waste their time mentioning it again.

I agree with that for the most part and most of my posts have been researched I just had no idea even were to start on this one.

[sigh]
Neither did I as I have never done anything to do with animation, vidoe, sound etc in Java. So what did I do? I entered a term into google and lo and behold a link to JMF was provided. So if I was doing this for real I would read as much as I can about JMF. All this is not rocket science and could have been done by you instead of wasting several hours on a bitch session!
