hi guyz
my name is satish i need some help in my assignment..this is the title

you are required to write a simple HTTP client that gets as input a given URL, retrieves the corresponding page, and returns the list of all words and their occurences in the requested page sorted by the number of occurences..

thx for the reply...but i know it sounds crazy...from start till end..doesnt sound good doesnt it...im majoring in networkings so i was given 3 assignments 1 was a auction server which i manage 2 do..but i really dont know how 2 do this..i tried all kind of sources.

You need to check on your sources then... allow me to give you some correct sources: java html parser - Google Search

Connect to the webpage. Use one of those million parsers to strip all the html tags from the page, then count the words.

i tried it and its confusing im really lost in java..is there anyway to learn this..and do it..cuz i have a deadline in 2weeks.thx

There are a million ways to do this. And if its an assignment, i am pretty sure your teacher knows what he is doing but assigning you this.

Again all you are telling me here is that you want me to do your assignment. I would love to do that, for about 75$ an hour, otherwise try it on your own. When you actually encounter a problem, post it and ask a specific question.
