    Default Programming in Java

    Hello everyone,

I wanted to learn a programming language to write some applications that would be useful. I started learning C++ and a programmer friend of mine suggested I learn Java because it's cross-platform and a better. I was just wondering if it was possible to build complex programs with Java.
    Thanks in advance!
    Steven

Yes, I believe Java can do everything c++ and many other languages can do. It never hurts to know more than one language though.
