    Question Can Java Type?

Would it be possible for me to have a Word document open and run a java application to type text directly on the page? and could it type other characters or keystrokes ("_","@","ENTER")?

Please don't use those huge fonts. w.r.t. your problem: read the API documentation for the Robot class.

    kind regards,

I've found it easier to use languages that are geared toward just this sort of thing such as Visual Basic for Applications or AutoIt. The reason being you can interact far more deeply with other programs (such as Word) with these languages than with Java.

I realize its not everyone's first choice to use java for this sort of thing but I would just like to know if it has just the slightest capabilities of doing so.
