how to capture keyboard strokes .....then change it .....then print into a note pad.
its like first i run the java program. then minimize the gui. open a notepad. type from my keyboard "a" and "b"(say) typed into the notepad. all the time my java gui program minimized.
can any one help me how to to that??

actually i am building a virtual keyboard but symbols are associated with different keys. i already built the gui with keyboard buttons and when i click on those button corresponding key printed on notepad.
but the problem comes when i am using keyboard(real). i want to change the keys associated with keyboard and print a different one. like when I press "a" on my keyboard in notepad it should print "b"(say).

but i have a keyboad written in vc++ which, when minimized still change the keyboard(real) value. as log as it open or running keyboard(real) value changed.
Are we talking about Java or C++ here?
