    Default javac not recognised

    'javac' is not recognised as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file.
    whenever i put javac HelloUser.java in to the command prompt i get this. can anyone help? i'm a newbie trying to teach myself java from java21days. i've already tried changing the class path and i get the right out put when i put in java -version. can anyone help?
