Install Java 1.7 CentOS
Hello, I'm trying to install Java on CentOS 5.5 64bit and not having much luck.
I downloaded the latest Binary from here: Java Platform, Standard Edition 7 Binary Snapshot Releases
However I'm used to using .bin files or just using yum.
Could someone please help me with some instructions on how to do the install?
Thanks :)

To install 1.7 just get it and use it :)
wget http://www.java.net/download/jdk7/ar...ay_2011.tar.gz
This is a tutorial for 1.6
The Cool Server: Install Java
You need to follow all the steps except the install (that file is a .bin while you will get a working archive)
