    Default Need help with some simple java stuff...

    I never mess with java, but what I need seems like a pretty basic thing to do. Heres what I need help with.

    I have a text box and enter button I just need it to display different results for a certain input range.

    For example lets say I want the person to enter results 1-100, but I only want to display 10 different results 1-10, 11-20, 21-30, etc.

    can someone help me with a code to do this?

    Sorry to inform you that this is not a code generator.Please,Read Books or tutorial.then when you face problems,post it here.

    Oh sorry, i have some code already I just didn't know if it would actually help understand what i was looking for.

    heres what i got so far.

    my text box and enter code

    <input type="text" id="txtSearch" />
    <input type="button" id="btnSearch" value="Enter" onclick="doSomething();" />

    but how do i tie the above in with a java code that will do something like this

    if(e.keyCode < 10) {do something
    }
    else
    if(e.keyCode < 20) {do this
    }

    I think i understand how to do everything i just dont know the code know how to put it all together to work properly.

    You have given a php code i.e a form method. Do you know about JAVA environment ,I mean if I give you a samle code of java,could you compile it?
    I don't think so,So please dont ask us to convert your php code to java source code.

    Create a JFrame containing JButton and to perform the job pressing on the button use actionlistener.

    Hmm maybe java isn't the best way to do this. I thought maybe java would be the simplest way to do this but php probably is right?

    if this is a 2-3 minute fix why cant you help me figure it out? You've done nothing to help except sit here and tell me I dont know java, No shit idiot. I am a webmaster not a programmer. I'd love to learn more about java but this is a 5 min fix. I am not going to read a book on java to fix a 5 minute fix. Thats why i am here.

    Did you read the forum you are in? "New To Java"
