Cannot Execute java programs from the command prompt

Hi guyz,
I am unable to execute any program in command prompt yet the path is set correctly. Even when i try to execute java version i get 3 errors
1. Error: Failed reading value of registry key: Software\JavaSoft\Java Runtime Enviroment\ Current Version
2. Error: Could not find java.dll
3. Error: Could not find Java SE Runtime Enviroment

Also i cannot run any jar file by double clicking!!:(
What could be the source of all these problems?

Am so frustrated by this thing right now coz i cant do anything on my projects

maybe reinstalation of jre?!?

i have already done that several times but nothing happens

sorry man, no idea. looks like it has something with win and registry but i'm not sure...

Try to remove the registry entry and reinstall the JRE again.
1.Remove registry entry that is erroring out
2.Reinstall Java itself
3.Reinstall JRE

Probably a good idea, but don't forget to backup the registry first!
