    Default Difficulty with Java RE/Virtual Machine on Windows 7

    Hey all i don't know what's going on exactly, but ever since i reformatted my java has been out of whack

    I have a .JAR file that is a backend for an android app i am developing and on my old setup before the reformat i would just double click it, select java and it would open immediately.

    However, ever sicne reformatting i can't do that anymore. I had to create a special bootloader file to even open the .JAR file, and when i select "open with" on the file Java isn't even a selectable option.

    It's really tickin me off, i have installed and uninstalled numerous times. I am running windows 7 64bit with service pack 1
