Java Book Recommendations

Hello,
I’m looking for a good book (for me) for learning Java, and am having a little trouble finding one.
I am an experienced, professional programmer. Most of my work is embedded, and in C, but I have done some application level programming, and I have coded in many other languages. In terms of OO languages, I have taught myself Python 3, using the book “Programming in Python 3” which I liked very much. However, I have not written production code in this language.
I am looking for a good book, suitable for a person with my background, for learning Java SE. In addition, I am looking for a book with programming exercises, with solutions.

Suggestions?

I am a bit new to learning java and not experienced like you, but since no one else has given suggestions, I have a few books that I've been meaning to purchase which I have read are good:

The one on threading might not be great. Most of the other books I have been looking into getting are most likely a bit more suited for new comers, nonetheless, I will tell you some more books I have been looking into

Also, thinking in java, headfirst java, sams teach yourself java(all pretty basic)

I have not had any luck finding books that have good exercises to help in the learning procedures, if you do find a book with a fair amount of challenging, yet doable, exercises, would you mind posting here what you settled on?

If you're a C programmer you might like "The Java Programming Language" by Jame Gosling (the inventor of Java) et.al. I like the book, it's well written and it covers all the fundamentals of the language and thoroughly discusses lots of the stuff that runs behind the scene. If I'm not mistaken the book has reached version 4 now.
