Default Does pauseApp() in J2ME really pauses the application?

I tried calling pauseApp() method in my MIDP application. However, it seems like it is not paused because when I tried to press arrow keys, it still listens . . .

What I am trying to do is to set the phone to it's standby mode...

    Wink

Here is one good explanation: Developer-J2ME

And here is the API documentation: J2ME-API

Have a look in case if you are interested.

    Hope that helps,

    Default

as i have read through it, the midlet becomes quiescent.

why is it that key presses are still allowed during this mode?

i am actually looking for the machiuke functionality equivalent of DoJa in J2ME....

in DoJa, when the phone calls machiuke function, it automatically sets the phone to its standby state to which I believe equivalent to the pause state in J2ME... in that state, key presses are not allowed except for the key that sets it back to the active state....

do you have any idea that relates to this problem?

    please help me...
