Can I ask why you wish it would be an exe?

yeah you are right but have you actually tried to run the jar on the other computers? I'd be hightly sceptical if they dont have java pre installed.... plus and exe wont work on a linux machine but a jar will if they have java, which is highly likely

If you want to allow to use your application only for windows people, why don't you build with .Net, use of Java is useless. :p

Anyway, if you want to really package your application into an *.exe, launch4j is one of the best tool.
