    Default gui

I'm creating a GUI but would like to see all the options I think would be best for the layout of my GUI. How can I open and see java.awt.? Is this possible?

The source is available. (On this computer it is in C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.6.0_20\src.zip)

But you might find a tutorial type overview a little easier to follow. Oracle's Tutorial is widely used (so that if you have questions about it people here will know what you are talking about...) There is a whole "trail" on Creating a GUI. Swing is the modern java gui toolkit.

Among the sites I look at are java2s.com and, the best I've seen, the Java Tips Weblog.

These sites address the question of what can be done with a GUI generally and the narrower question of layout.
