Default As a thank you for your help...

    Hey you all! :)

I've buggered you guys with some silly questions and I'd like to show off a bit with what I've done with your counsels. ;) I put them into good use. :)

YouTube - Stellar Conquest (working title)

    I hope you like it.

    Here are some facts:

In the galaxy shown in the video, there was around 350 000 stars, all randomly generated, each possibly containing a solar system with possibly moons, asteroid belts and chances of having "life".

The game will have different races, ships, artifacts, crafting (if you would call it that), etc. Although I'm taking the sandbox route, it will story-based, but non-linear.

If you have questions, don't hesitate. :)

Cheers and thank you again. :D

Very, very neat! What API did you use for the 3D rendering?

The game runs on jMonkeyEngine3. It's a Java (obviously) engine specifically aimed at making games. It's managed by very knowledgeable people that are doing their share of helping me out. ;) In fact I mostly ask question there since most of the interrogations or problems are me having trouble integrating things with the engine and not specifically with Java. When I get that kind of problems, I come here. ;)

You can check out the engine here: jMonkeyEngine.org | Home

    Thanks. You're too kind. :)

It's pretty bland for now though, but it's ok. At this point in time, blandness is expected. There are more important things than eye-candy. ;)
