    What can we say...he's Dutch.
    ;)

As for your comments, and I know you're not going to read this but never mind, you were asked to format your code, which you didn't do. I did it for you to highlight why the code needs formatting (something you refused to do).

I'm afraid the lack of desire on your part to actually help yourself here is the root of all this, not some perceived rudeness on our part. And many of us do get out into the real world, you know. I think everyone who posted here works in the industry.

I only saw this because it was emailed to my inbox which I will now disable. I DID reformat my code as soon as I was asked to, my attempt may not have been good enough for some but I tried something I'd never done before. Trying is met with insults and smugness. It's a shame, I had looked forward to really getting into Java but i've been put down so much here by you charming 'industry' people I think i'll call it a day.

You should grow a thicker skin and read Henry Weinberg's 'the egoless programmer' and maybe 'the pragmatic programmer' (forgot the author's name).

    kind regards,

    I don't think there were insults...were there?
A request for clarity is not an insult.

    I even reformatted her code!
