    Default Formatting Strings in Java

OK, so I am wondering if there is a site that lists the various ways to format values returned from methods and variables. I am looking for the ones that are preceded with the "%" mark.

I can't seem to find any appendixes with a listing.

Have you actually looked at the API?
Formatter is the second link on a "java string format" Google...

Would that have been so hard?

Sorry. I am a bit brain fried from finals week, so I apologize if I make what seems like "stupid" mistakes.

I did Google it. When I found that link, I looked at the title, Class Formatter, and thought I was on the wrong page. 'I was looking for something that formatted methods and variables...not classes.' was my line of thinking.

    Thank you for your help.

I can see that, if you are not familiar with the layout of Javadoc.
