Character conversion question

Hi All,

Can anyone tell me how to convert 2 or 3 integers to a unicode character?

What I mean is the following;
When I have 3 int values say, 226, 130 and 172
These values represent the unicode Euro sign. So the question is how to get there.

That's one example, but what are other values supposed to encode? And does the encoding have a name? I ask because its name would be a good place to point Google at.

sorry, I should have said UTF-8 like this table.

I already read hundreds of google pages but found none working solution.

First hit is Character and Byte Streams in Oracle's Tutorial

Second is from exampledepot.com

Both deal with conversions between array of byte and (unicode) string which is very close to what you are doing and should form a starting point.
