Move your import statement to the top of your code, not inside your methods or classes.
Sincerely, Joshua Green
Please REP if I help :)

Also, does your teacher WANT a convert method. Otherwise your code would be much more efficient using: Integer to Binary Java, Convert Integer to Binary in Java, Examples code
Sincerely, Joshua Green
Please REP if I help :)

No emoticon could express my anger and hatred towards you.
How DARE you. What am I? I am a student, learning java for the first time, writing her first codes and ENJOYING what I do. What are you? A professional or a TROLL? I give you a direct and specific question and you insult me? Who is the retarded one here? I found the answer without your help. It's true that I misunderstood you, but as you've obviously forgotten what it is to be human, allow me to give you a little insight as to how to communicate to one, for future reference.
As I'm only just learning, I was under the impression that if anything at all was placed outside the main method (Or inside no method at all), it either was not read by the compiler, or given as a completely automatic error. Do you want me to say "I'm sorry?" For what? Fine, I will- I'm not lazy and I'm not retarded. Oh, my goodness, I am so sorry for being WRONG.
Well, you were wrong, too. Next time you will know what to do in this situation, just as long as you'll remember to put your foot in your mouth. You were NOT the person to help me this time- that was my teacher, I truly hope for your sake that for the next person with a question, you will be. Or if nothing else, you'll be kicked of of this forum.

For what it's worth, I don't think anyone criticized you for being "wrong". Shoot, no one was born knowing Java. No, what irked folks was your just asking, no demanding, for someone fix your code "now", rather than asking for clarification on what you were misunderstanding:
Please understand that this will irk people in the future as well.I need you to be specific. Now. Where exactly do you want me to put it?

Did someone say "TROLL"?
just answer quickly, I need to email this in for homework by tonight...
Good start, and not at all your fault you got no bites. Well done for keeping at it.
Middle section of the post kept up a good pace. Code in the original post continually changed, general cluelessness and unwillingness to do as suggested. More pointedness was needed...
I need you to be specific. Now. Where exactly do you want me to put it?
... and supplied! (The invitation to a less than polite response was maybe a little too blunt. But then you were becoming more pointed.)
What are you? A professional or... you've obviously forgotten what it is to be human... I found the answer without your help...
Oh dear! Such a promising start, only to end like this. At least you didn't bring basements into it but the ending could have packed more punch. We need bite here, originality, wit - and not this farago of over used cliches.
3/10. Ending needs work. Somewhere else.

Oh...
That makes sense. Thank you for explaining. I was just angry at having been trying for so long, and I knew others must be starting to feel the same way, so I wanted to cut the explanation short.
I didn't mean, "I need you to be specific, Now. Where exactly do you want me to put it?"
I meant, "I need you to be specific. Now, where exactly do you want me to put it?"
The bluntness was my fault, but at this point I was starting to feel really stupid, like I couldn't do anything right, even with instruction. So Josh's answer, "Are you retarded?" really stung.
I apologize to JoshdGreen as well. This post wasn't meant as an excuse or...anything, just an apology, a thank you, and a show of recognition for the misunderstanding.

simply you cut the 5 th line and paste it on the 1 st line
and if it shows any error like class converter is public .you remove public before class keyword and compile and you can run it..

*sigh*...
I don't understand. Why are you going on about this to me when first- I did not start anything, and second- I've already apologized?
Thirdly- The paragraph you assessed was not due to anger. I would never blow up at a person trying to help me because it was taking too long to explain. The paragraph we are now talking about was due to my being purely insulted.
Fourthly- "trollish"? I say again- have I not already apologized AND explained my reasoning? I've even tried to laugh it off, I really don't know what more you're looking for.
Fifthly- "unreasonably optimistic"? I don't think I'm the one you should be talking to.
