Default what are the dependencies required by java, when we are shifting from the platform?

    Hi all,
I am new to java. i have one doubt here.

we know that java is a platform independent language.

is any dependencies required when we are shifting from one platform to another platform. please help me.

    example:

if x.java is running in Linux, if we want to run in any windows system means we need to do any changes there. if it is there please tell me?

    Default

No changes need to be made. A Java file that runs on X version of the JRE on Windows will run on X version of the JRE on Linux exactly the same.
