    Default JOption pop up window is behind all other windows

    I am working on my first project and it requires a JOption window to open for user input. it works but the window is behind everything else so I have to minimize the editor to input the info. How do I bring the window to the top?

    Read the JOption class at
    JOptionPane (Java 2 Platform SE v1.4.2)

    Check out the Component parentComponent passed parameter in the different showXXX methods. (showInputDialog, showMessageDialog.... )

    OR read this posting as it might be similar to your issue:
    JOptionPane behind the Window which is set to be always on top
