How can I create a template in Java

Hi to all, I just registered on this site and I am very new to Java. I have a chance to move to the software side at my place of work and was asked if I knew how to create a template. can some share with me what I would need to know and how I can create one? I would like to thank all of you in advance.

Please first tell us just what you mean by "template" as this is a somewhat vague term that can mean many things. The more specific and informative your question, usually the better we can help you.

Thanks Fubaralbe, this was a quick responce. Thank you again. I work at Cisco Systems and there is a team of users using a product called FatWire, it is CMS. I may be loosing my current position and this group is trying to keep me and move me to their group, they know I am a beginner and the lead developer came to me as asked me if I knew how to create a template. So that is why I am asking, I did not know there are more items like this. I know this has to do with Fatwire and Java is a very big part of it. That is all I know. Sorry if this is not helpful.......Thanks for working with me.

The word template is a generic term that would depend on the environment for any specific meaning. I worked on IBM's CMS operating system for years. I'm sure your CMS is something completely different. Bottom line: you need to describe what you are trying to do in java programming terms.

Thanks Norm, I will ask and get back to this forum, just the fact that you guys responded so quickly gives me some good feelings about this site and I am excited being here even tho I am sooooooooo new to Java. I will get back as soon as I find out. Thanks Norm and Furbaralbe for your replys.
