    Default Programmer genius experiment

Good day! You know i'm an ordinary intermediate-level php scripter(you can call it yesy-form programmer, semi script-thief :D ), but i don't want to remain in the shadow of real a almost geniuses(almost, because i don't believe that geniuses are programming themselves, if they do please correct me). I have ambitions like to be so good, as possible to form a group of several people to program good java, c++, and other language games... How to jump into heaven-altitude programmers level ?

So, i'm your experimental rat, you can offer me anything that is in your mind(ideas),and if you are 100% confident just prepend 100% to the message, if experiment succeeds i will post this message on as many web forums as i can, don't be jealous, please.
It's all about an idea, not only me. Thank you very much. I have a lots of time apart studying IT.

Sorry about grammar, i'm not from English speaking country.
It would be better to send me Private Message.

    What are you talking about?

You don't "jump" into being a good programmer. It takes years of work. Read this: Teach Yourself Programming in Ten Years

Why? They are our ideas. Why would we give them to you for free? What's in it for us? Can't you come up with your own?

Jealousy has nothing to do with it. If a person has an idea, why would he waste his time telling you about it if you might have already heard the idea in another forum?

If you can't come up with your own ideas, I question your ability to "program good java, c++, and other language games" even after years of study.

You might want to check this out though:

If it was that easy... everyone would be doing it. It's just like any profession; there are minor league sports teams and big league sports teams--the ones participating in the big leagues have worked for years and years to get there. Programming is NO different.

If you're looking for ideas to help you practice, then look no further; a regular contributor posted a HUGE list of ideas for programming practice not long ago:

For code reference, don't forget to use the Java API:
    Java 2 Platform SE v1.4.2
Java Platform SE 6 (Use this link instead; thanks, Jos)

    Good luck!

Whoops. Thought I HAD picked that one. Google failed me. Thanks, Jos; I've corrected my post to avoid confusion.

For some reason (presumably hit rate) if you do "java api" the 1.4.2 one comes up first.
If you do "java 6 api" you get the the java 6 one.

For reasons of nostalgia: Java 1.02 API Documentation; see? no Swing yet, nor any of that html and xml crap; no collection framework yet; *sigh* life was so simple in those days ... ;-)

    kind regards,

    Jos

Erm, yes, it was sooo simple to have tables and trees in AWT (the event dispatch model was utmost joy). And the raw speed of Java in those days, pure delight! ;-)

    kind regards,

    Jos
