afternoon,

i need to create a jtable in an application and be able to have market data streaming into it. I've been struggling with this all week and im at my wits end with a massive headache!

I'm far from experienced and well beyond my comfort zone of basic java.

can anyone help at all?

Have you read about the DefaultTableModel? You can extend it and register it with one (or more) JTables and modify it (the model) all you want; the JTables will display its contents.

ive been told to look at something called Esper and feed handlers...and feed the data stream into esper and make it populate the jms queue and fill the jtable with that data!

now how do i go about even starting that?? lol

'Esper' must be something proprietary and I only have a vague idea what 'feed handlers' are. jms is Java Message Queue but all that still leaves open how you have to (re)populate a JTable ... I don't find it funny ...
