start to learn Java web app

Dear All,

Now, I am starting to learn Java web application, I have 2 questions regarding to start learning it..:

1. Where should I start..? :confused:

and some years a go my friend told me that Java also have Web design tools that can help me to design web before I put java codes behind the objects (just drag-and-drop) ..(please correct me If I'm wrong)..

2. I lost my friend's contact info, what web design tools does it mean?

I need advise..
