    Default Working with images

    Hi there,

I am new to Java and truth be told, I am a little overwhelmed by it. I am a very experienced web designer and PHP developer. What I am wanting to do is provide a Java applet with a gif and jpg image and have the java applet layer the gif over the jpg and return the product as an image. I have searched all over the web and have yet to figure out a way to do this. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thx!

have the java applet layer the gif over the jpg
Does the gif have transparent pixels? Or how will layering work?
If you draw the jpg first and then draw the gif over the top of it, will that do?
Are you working with an applet or with an application? An applet loads in an html page in a browser.
