    Question java gui builders

I have a couple questions about GUI builders. Should i use a GUI builder or hand write the code? I know how to hand write it but do actual companies use them.
Like if you had a big program where there were a lot of buttons, check boxes etc., would professional coders write the code or use a GUI builder? Also i know there is one for net beans but is there a GUI builder for eclipse. Thanks

This thread is almost the exact same and should have some answers. But, personally, I like to write code from scratch, because I like to understand how it works, and I can change it and debug easier.

if you want to make it quick and dirty, go for the gui builder
want optimized, clean code and not the need for a gui builder, then write from scratch
