    Post How to find where jdk is installed ......

    Hi all , i'm new to java ..
    I get a m/c on which java is already installed which i've checked by using command:

    >java -version

    it's showing version as "1.6.0_03".no problem upto here.
    but i want to compile java code for that i need to set the path of jdk/bin directory, but i'don't know where it is installed on my m/c..
    please let me know about how should i get jdk's path..

    Use the OS's Search to look for the javac file.

    java.exe is not part of a jdk, it is part of a jre; use your search facility and try to find javac.exe (the Java compiler); when you have it you have a jdk installed, otherwise go to Sun's site, download and install one.
