How to upload a file from client to server

hi,
how can i Uploading a file from client location to server location , if the path is present inside a excel sheet.

Read the path from the sheet, read the file and send it to the server.

What part of this are you having a problem with? Can you be more specific?

I used java.io.File class for reading the file from client machine ....,its working fine wen i run on local machine . But wen i deploy on server ,i think server is looking the path location of the file, on its local drive ,instead of looking on the client machine ,....

What sort of object i have to use to read the file from client machine and copy on the server ......
if u can sent some sample code ,it will be very helpfulll.

i think server is looking the path location of the file

The client would read and send the contents of the file not the path to the file. The server can't look on the client's machine.
