How hard is it.....

Hi

I am new to Java and i work mainly as a web developer and i wanted to ask how hard would it be to do the following....

I have been asked to design some advertising that goes directly to peoples mobile/Cell phones at a major leisure venue such as Cineworld/Vue/Odeaon and other major locations in many towns across the UK.

The ads are fairly basic, they will show the logo, web site, images and some text. But my client has asked these ads to be in Java. I don't know much about Java and only a little about other programming languages such as C#, Actionscript and PHP. Would really appreciate anyone who can advise on how they would go about this....if they could.

I'd suggest looking at javascript. thats more direct for web development.
and how large is this ad!?
You state requirements
Logo (Img)
Website (image or imbeded!? or just text?)
images
and text.

if you were to do it in java, maybe do it in an applet and use java swing?

I wonder here, since you're aware about php why don't you give a try. If you really want to do this in Java then you've to learn a lot (basis). It'll take some time I guess.

Yeah, anyway not suite for Java. As far as I know using php it's really easy to do.
