Question tooltip at any location on the screen

    Hello,

I am just wondering if Java has the ability to access windows tooltips. I am trying to create a program that will display a tooltip at the coordinates of the mouse at any given location on my screen, so I don't have to use a GUI to display info.

I have been searching online for java tooltips, however the only results I found were related to Swing components. Is there any way to use tooltips that are not confined to java Swing components?

    Thanks.

Erm, no. Tooltips are bound to components.

I may be wrong. But my only knowledge of java tooltips are confined to swing.

    Ok, thanks.

I was just wondering because my friend wrote a program in AutoIt that would display pixel information for the mouse cooridinates.

This is what it looked like: (PrintScreen didn't record the mouse image, but it was just to the left of the tooltip)
