    Default .class to .java and back

    ok so i have this .class i wish to edit. i can convert it to .java
    and edit the one line i wish to edit.

    but when i hit javac NaME.java i get a HUGE amount of symbol errors.

    i know this .class works heres the line i wish to edit

    /* 88 */ if ((Main.applet.ignorethis.f.userType >= 100) && (str3.indexOf("+bob") > -1)) {

    to this

    /* 88 */ if ((Main.applet.ignorethis.f.userType >= 1) && (str3.indexOf("+bob") > -1)) {

    now i know it isnt me changing this line
    as i tried to recompile it without the change and i get the same thing.

    any ANY help would be great

    Then your cause may be lost as it seems that you cannot decompile it to a viable Java file. Your best (and probably only) bet is to somehow have him send you the java files.

    No I do not. But then I don't try to decompile class files but rather work with Java files, and for important ones, try to remember to back it up on a different computer (as well as use Mozy backup).

    Much luck!
