Default I'm a noob and having an issue with JAVA recognision

So I'm trying to make a server for L2j and a file isn't being recognized by Java. It keeps telling me that Java can't recognize RegisterGameServer.bat as an external or internal command. Help please?

Are you sure it's Java that's not recognizing things and not the operating system? And are you coding this as a program in the Java programming language?

I'm pretty sure the coding is in Java but I'm not positive. This is what's popping up when I try to open the file.

'setenv.bat' is not recognized as an internal or external command,
    operable program or batch file.

So it seems that this isn't a problem with a Java program that you've created which is really what this forum is for. Your best chance of getting help is to search for and contact the support site for the product you are trying to use.

    Much luck.

    And also this error here:
'setenv.bat' is not recognized as an internal or external command,
    operable program or batch file.
Has nothing to do with Java. As I suspected, the OS is not recognizing this file. Are you trying to run a bat file on a non-Windows machine?

when I try to open the file
how are you "opening" the file?
Can you open a command prompt window, run the program there and copy all of the contents of the command prompt window here?
