    Default Probably a simple solution

    I use netbeans, and I've always wondered why are the buttons always a blue gradient and not like the standard windows buttons. How can i make them like normal buttons?

    What you are really talking about? Can you explain bit more?

    If I get you correctly, you are referring to the IDE buttons and stuff. By default all of it comes with the standard windows style.

    Can you look in the code at the definition for the buttons and what calls are made for the button objects to see if your IDE is adding code to change the colors.

    Java Code:
    try {
     UIManager.setLookAndFeel(UIManager.getSystemLookAndFeelClassName());
    } catch (Exception ex) {}
