Video to learn Java
Hi folks,
I have been googling around for Java VIDEO tutorial on Linux environment running command lines (on Editor NOT IDE). However most of them found are on Windows environment running IDE. I only found 1 or 2 on Linux environment but the screen/pictures are not clear. Could you please shed me some light. TIA

Hi,
Thanks for your advice and URL.
I found many Java Tutorials on YouTube almost all of them running IDE on Windows.
I found;
Java Development on Linux, easy beginner tutorial
YouTube - Java Development on Linux, easy beginner tutorial
It is running on Linux but with only 1 lesson.
I don't have Windows PC at work. I'm interested learning Java at lunch break.

Actually the difference you've to handle there only on configuration on Java on both OSs. Other than that there is no difference between syntax. Apart from that you've familiar with how to handle IDEs, text editors on both OS.

I have it download on a 64 bit Ubuntu 10.04 workstation. I can't make the video to work. After decompressing the *.zip file clicking *html requesting to install Adobe Flash Player. I already have flashplugin-nonfree installed. I have no problem running other flash files. I'm still struggling. Would it be the video can't run on 64bit Linux PC?So what, if it's freely available that nothing wrong to download them and keep for future references.
