launch4j does that actually, but an exe file. What you really means by bundling the database? Do you want to configure a database, and what it is, SQL, MSAccess?

I'm still not clear what you are mean by the database, in which way you want to distribute it. Do you want to setup or install the database in client machine? If so I don't think it's a good implementation at all. You must install your application only on the client machine, and all the others must requirements to run the application.

With launch4j you can bundle any additional files, resources.

There is no specific way to bundle databases specifically in lunch4j. It's possible to include resources in your package.

    Sorry, I've never use izpack.

Yes it can be done with IzPack; just mention all the files you need in its XML definition file; I suggest you use Derby/JavaDB for your database because it comes bundled with your Java 1.6. distrubution (for free) and all you need is the derby.jar file (look in c:\Program Files\Sun)

    kind regards,

    Jos
