    I'm sorry if I come off a bit harsh, but this piece of code is a mess, it's like blindly groping around in the dark hoping to find something. Find a good starter tutorial on the web, or invest in a Java beginners book. If someone fixes this snippet for you, it does you no good in the long run, because these are the basics. And you need very good understanding of the basics if you want to learn something more advanced.
