GIOVYNET Java Serial Comm Port Question

Hi all,
I came accross Giovynet when googling of how to do serial port programming with Java for Windows.
I followed the instruction from the quick start guide and end up with this message:

java.lang.exception: Error setting serial port state

Any one here have used Giovynet before ? Any idea what went wrong ?

I started looking at RXTX but haven't read much further. Any one knows any other helper for Serial Port Programming for Windows ?
