I'm the only user and I have 2 drives: A "BreakMe" drive where I test anything\everything first before I do it to my "Main Drive". Plus, I'm meticulous (almost AR) about keeping my machine clean — more so than the majority.
That cannot happen, unless someone does a rubbish thing in your PC.
I don't "save" Java files as I only have it on my system because there's some sites that require it. I don't write\program anything in Java; only VBS.
Only possibilities to have Java files are in installation folders as well as, in any other locations you've save them.
As I stated in the beginning: Add\Remove Programs was useless: Hence my using all the programs I mentioned.
. . . check on Add/Remove Programs for installations. Did you remove them?
The only "attack" I've had was indigestion from fooling with this.
Do you have any virus attack last few days in your PC?
Search returns 89 entries with some dating back to 1999 (adcjavas.inc and NPDS JavaPeer.class).
After that search the folders again and see.
Would you please do me a favor if you have the time? If your OS is XP, do a Search and see how many Javas you have (including .pf). I asked a friend in the UK to do a thorough search and he turned up over 4,000 (four thousand!) entries everywhere, including the registry.
