    Default MP3 program

    hey guys, i have a small problem in a program im trying to write/edit. Im trying to make an mp3 kind of thing (i've written and taken bits from online), but i'm getting errors with my import javax.media. It is saying it does not exist
    i have a javax.media.ControllerEvent , Player , Manager
    i may be completely wrong with this as i did take it from the internet,

    Hey SNPTT,
    This is something i do know and can maybe help you out on, i was sitting on my couch when i read this and it clicked straight away, i remember reading it from a book i was reading on the bus!

    import javax.media.*;
    import java.io.File;
    import java.awt.*;

    They are the imports you will need.
    Thanks

    Did you definately use import javax.media.*;
    Maybe try without the star, although it should work.
    Maybe you should order a Java book, i find them great to learn when your tired and laying in bed.
    Thanks

    Do you know what the updateUI method does? Do you flip every on/off switch without knowing what it can flip on?

    kind regards,

    Jos

    Read the API documentation for the JComponent class and any of its descendants. It explains it in great detail.
