Are you sure Iluxa? Copy/pasting code that you don't understand seems to be the norm these days.
Ever seen a dog chase its tail? Now that's an infinite loop.

Sad but true. I hope I never have to work with them or have them for my physician.

My previous job, I've interviewed 10 candidates in a row, and kept track of what I saw.

Problem: using internet (browser opened at JDK documentation page) and NetBeans, write a program that reads a file and counts words in it. For extra credit, find the most-commonly-occurring word and how many times it's present. Time: 1 hour, but I was lax on giving an extra half hour if needed.

all 10 with BS in CS from accredited universities.

    Not one finished the problem.
Not one was able to read the file from disk.
One had an algorithmic idea for how to find the most-common word, the others - clueless.
Three's code didn't compile at all. The red wavy underlines seemed to trigger no alarm.
One didn't realize curly brackets are actually a must in Java.
From the ones who did count words in a hard-coded string, not a single one actually did it correctly (to keep in mind the white spaces, periods, and commas).

One guy's previous salary was in 6 digits, 10 years of experience.
    One guy burst into tears.
One guy explained to me Java wasn't really his strength, and he didn't realize the interview was actually going to be technical

I wasted what, 30 hours of my life?..
