strange problem

this problem isn't a java problem, only that I ran out of inspiration of writing java programs.
I have no idea what to write next and programming really emptys my head.
Don't get me wrong, I know what to do in my spare time, I sport a lot. I just want to do something with my programming "skills". Thats why I am learning new languages like scala(very good one) But I think that won't give me any inspiration.

Is there some project I can contribute to, do something useful,...?

I've never done it myself, but how about joining or starting an open-source project? If you're interested, check out launchpad and sourceforge

What do you find useful? The most software you are inspired to write is one where you would use yourself. Make what you need, and you will feel doubly satisfied with the result.

Take it one step beyond: think of what other people might need. Another language with 'special' features mayhap? A fast solver for a certain problem domain? My imagination can go on and on and on, way beyond my own capabilities.
