My grandson has a computer with Win 7 (64-Bit) and IE 8.
He was told today by a friend that Java version 19 was now availabe.
When he tried to update his Java (1.6.0.18-b07) he got a pop-up stating:
"You already have the laterst Java platform on this system."
Why would it say that if he has 1.6.0.18-b07 and expected to upgrade to 1.6.0.19-B04?
Can someone help us?

I'm wondering if we can just leave the build 1.6.0_18 b07 as it is.
A complete re-install scares us a lot.
I disabled UAC but it still said I had latest version of Java?
As I said, I went into the All Programs and did a search for Java and it showed = Control Panel / Java (32-bit). And wonder if that makes a difference since I have Win 7 64-bit?

Could be since the bit rate is different. Better to check on the Suns' release note about that latest version.

You can send feedback on each release, just comment on them. That's the easiest way. And also you can ask question on Suns' Forum, since lots of community people are there.
