    Yes "ocr" is the way to go but be warned: ocr is an extremely difficult subject and we can't give you "teh codez" in a single reply (if we ever want to give away full blown code).

    i want simple way to this problem, such as calling java to top-OCR program and the top-OCR program would execute then retrieve the output of the top-OCR program to java as string.

    My Question: How is the output of the top-OCR program go to Java as string?

    plz help me and thank you.

    I doubt you'll find anyone here who is very familiar with the "top-OCR" program or libraries and would be able to tell you how to use this in your program. If its a Java Jar file, then look at the documentation or ask the creators of the program. Best of luck.

    you're right. this is not only a java issue but also one in artificial intelligence. download and install this example OCR Applet | Heaton Research and let me know.
