in collections we have vector whose initial capacity will be set to 10 by default.
then if we dont need to add 10 elements,we will add only 5 elements,then remaining 5 units of memory will be wasted? wat happens to that remaining 5 cells of memory?

Nothing. It is only space for 5 references not five "objects", so it is only 20 bytes. Nothing to worry about.
